Assistant Manager- Meal Services

Reference: AM-MS

Hours: 37 hours per week – 5 days out of 7 (must include one weekend day per week, to be worked flexibly with the agreement of the Meal Services Manager)

Salary: £26,000-£28,000

Location: Base to be one of our four sites, to be agreed, but with travel to all other Hertfordshire sites and our Camden site when required.

Contract type: Fixed term until 31.03.2020 ( with possibility of extension)

Description:

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Meal Services Manager in key areas of operation, to assist in improving the smooth operation of all meal services across Hertfordshire.

HILS’ meals on wheels service is the fastest growing in the UK, serving approximately 520,000 meals per year. HILS now needs additional support to ensure that we continue to provide an excellent, safe, high quality, and caring service to every client, as the service continues to grow. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a fast-paced and high-impact role, whilst developing your management skills.

Team Leader- Meals Service (weekends)

Hours: 20 hours per week, to be worked 7 hours on a Saturday and Sunday and 3 hours on a Monday and Friday

Salary: £23,080 per annum, pro rata for part time

Description:

Hertfordshire Independent Living Service (HILS) is a growing charitable social enterprise, providing services to clients in Hertfordshire to enable them to live independently in their own homes.

This role will involve ensuring the effective and efficient operation of all independent living services from Hemel Site during weekends, but mainly the Meals on Wheels service. The role will involve ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and safety, that service standards are met fully and consistently, and that an excellent and caring service is provided to every client.

Support Adminstrator- Stock and Lunch clubs

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9am until 3pm

Hourly rate: £8.75 per hour

Location: St Albans- AL3 5BU

Description:

The primary function is to provide support to ensure the smooth running of all of HILS’ stock ordering and management processes and Lunch Club co-ordination at St Albans site.

The successful post-holder will be expected to offer excellent customer service to internal and external parties and ensure all ordering and delivery, as well as maintain relationships with suppliers. You will be required to ensure stock levels are processed, freezer are maintained and tidy, and ensure that lunch clubs clients are entered on the system.

The post holder will be adaptable and flexible in supporting with other office team members as required to ensure customers get a good level of service.

Community Meals on Wheels Driver - Hertfordshire

Hours: We are currently recruiting for team members to support in the operations of our meals service between the hours of 11am until 2pm, with some flexibility to work after 2pm in the event of unexpected delays

Hourly rate: £8.75 per hour (weekdays) and £9.25 per hour (weekends)

Location: Letchworth, Ware, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans

Community Nutrition and Wellbeing Visitor

Reference: CNWB-LILS

Hours: 20 to 25 hours per week (to be agreed with successful candidate)

Salary: £21,000-£23,000 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Location: Camden, NW1 7HE and surrounding areas. Candidate will be expected to visit site on a regular basis, but will include training community groups and visiting clients in their own homes across Haringey.

Contract type: Fixed term for 4-6 months, dependent on start date.

Description:

The post holder will be part of an exciting new pilot service in Haringey, working within a growing social enterprise. The pilot service proposed in Haringey has the following aims: • to improve the health, nutrition, and wellbeing of clients • to provide training and support to families, carers, and the wider health and social care sector • to help prevent and address malnutrition in the community

The service targets older and vulnerable people living in the community, including those with dementia and a range of health issues (such as diabetes), as well as adults with disabilities. LILS’ service will tackle the key health issue of malnutrition for vulnerable people living in the community, and support individuals and their families and support networks to understand good nutrition and how it can be maintained.

The post holder will visit clients in their homes to perform a Nutrition & Wellbeing screening, involving completing a MUST assessment as well as asking relevant lifestyle and health questions. The post holder will then educate the client about their malnutrition status; provide advice and guidance to the client and their next of kin; set up nutritional interventions to improve their status and refer to other agencies as appropriate. If required, clients will be referred to Community dietitian to prepare a dietetic care plan.
