More than just a meal
Our service has always been more than just delivering a meal. We care about your wellbeing and are proud of how our service gives you and your loved ones peace of mind.
No reply procedure
Should you not come to the door, or not be in the house when we come to deliver a meal, we will contact your family, friends or neighbours to make sure you’re ok.
Regular visits/ welfare checks
Delivering food regularly means our Community Team get to know our clients really well. Should we notice that something isn’t right, then we can contact your family, friends or doctor to let them know.
Occasionally, we find our clients after they have had a fall or accident. If this happens, our community team will stay with you until help arrives.
Medication prompts
Medication prompts are now available as a part of our meals service if required. Click here to find out more.
Plating up your meal
Our Community Team member will happily plate your meal, and make you a drink if you would like. Please request when joining our service if you would like us to do this when delivering your meal.
Nutrition and Wellbeing Service
We have a Nutrition and Wellbeing Team who provide individual support for all those who want it. Find out more about the service here.
Keeping you safe
Our Community Team are regularly accompanied by Police Officers, Firefighters, and Trading Standards Officers.
These visits include looking around your property to ensure it is secure, advice on doorstep crime, and how to avoid scams.
If necessary, the team will recommend a follow up for a fuller visit or a Home Fire Safety Check.
Our Teams
Every Community Team member has had a police record check and will always be wearing their ID badge and uniform.
Our staff are regularly trained in caring for older people, including specialist dementia awareness.
All of our staff are paid at least the Living Wage Foundation’s Living Wage.
Safe Driving
We have 77 cars driving every day across Hertfordshire. We track all of our vehicles to make sure they’re driven safely.
