Emmy - Nutrition & Wellbeing project officer

Emmy - Nutrition and Wellbeing project officer (Registered Dietitian)

What did you use to do?

Prior to working at HILS, I was studying to be a Dietitian at University of Hertfordshire. However, before this I worked in the computer games industry, as a producer!

How long have you worked at HILS?

I first started working at HILS in July 2015.

What does your job entail?

There are two main parts to my role. Visiting clients to do well-being and nutrition checks and providing advice to them is one aspect. The other is to deliver training on good nutrition to clients’ families and health professionals. We may also have adhoc requests to support clients with dietary intolerances and allergies, or just a particular dislike.

Why do you enjoy working for HILS?

HILS is an innovative organisation and really puts the needs of the client at the heart of business. I also really like the people I work with, who are caring and compassionate and great at their jobs.

What’s your favourite thing about working at HILS?

I love meeting the clients, but I also enjoy eating any leftover food the community team bring back!
