HILS runs Community Hubs in St Albans and Hatfield.

The Jubilee Centre in the heart of St Albans has a lunchtime restaurant serving hot meals for the over 60s.

At Friendship House in Hatfield there is a lunchtime restaurant serving hot meals for people over 60, as well as a wellbeing café where you can have a cuppa and a chat.

We also hire rooms at our Community Hubs for meetings, groups, and events, with capacity for up to 100 people.

HILS runs a number of specialist clubs across Hertfordshire for people living with mild to moderate dementia. The clubs are run by specialist staff who are supported by a team of friendly and caring volunteers. Activities include personalised reminiscing, arts and crafts, chair-based exercises, as well as quizzes, stories and much more. The clubs provide a safe and supportive place for those living with dementia as well as time out for their loved ones and carers.

HILS 10-2 Clubs are welcoming and engaging, with every session offering an exciting mix of activities, like flower arranging, pottery painting, quizzes, and dancing. Our clubs are run by highly trained, friendly staff who can tailor activities for you. We are also able to provide transport.

Cuffley Day Centre is a wonderful space and is a linchpin for older and disabled people in Cuffley and the surrounding villages.

Cuffley offers a day club every week day from 10am-2pm which offers a range of activities like chair-based exercises, quizzes, games, and a hot two-course lunch!

Hertswise is a service for people living with dementia, low level memory loss or mild cognitive impairment, and their friends, family and carers.

It is provided by a partnership of community and voluntary groups offering information, advice, activities, and support to enable you to make positive changes to your health and wellbeing and to live well with memory loss or dementia, whether or not you have (or want) a diagnosis.

HILS runs drop-in restaurants for older people, serving a hot meal and dessert, at the Jubilee Centre in St Albans, and Friendship House in Hatfield.

We run group exercise classes twice a week at Friendship House in Hatfield. The sessions include gentle movement to improve your strength and balance, as well as some chair-based exercises.Â
